FAQs

What services do you offer?

We offer individual, family, couples, and group therapy, along with clinical evaluations, treatment planning, and care coordination. Services are provided by licensed clinicians and supervised interns, with collaboration from psychiatric providers when medication support is appropriate. We also provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services through select insurance plans.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Many people seek therapy when they feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or are experiencing changes in mood, behavior, relationships, or life circumstances. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. If something is affecting your well-being or daily functioning, therapy can help. An initial consultation allows us to explore what support may be most helpful for you.

What happens during the first appointment?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know you. We’ll talk about what brings you in, your history, and what you’re hoping to work on. Your therapist will explain the process, answer questions, and discuss recommendations so you can move forward with clarity and comfort.

Do you offer in-person and telehealth sessions?

Yes. We offer both in-person sessions at our office and secure telehealth sessions. Together, we’ll determine which option best fits your needs, preferences, and clinical goals.

How long are therapy sessions and how long does therapy last?

Sessions typically last between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the service provided. The overall length of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients benefit from short-term, goal-focused work, while others choose longer-term support. Your therapist will review progress with you and adjust care as needed.

Is what I share in therapy confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a core part of therapy. What you share is protected by law, with a few limited exceptions related to safety or legal requirements. These limits are reviewed with you during the consent process so there are no surprises.

Do you accept insurance or self-pay?

We work with many commonly accepted insurance plans and also offer self-pay options. Our administrative team can help verify your benefits and explain payment options before services begin.

How are clients matched with therapists?

We use a personalized, needs-based matching process. After an initial consultation, we consider your concerns, goals, preferences, and the expertise of our clinicians to match you with the provider best suited to support your care.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based service focused on improving meaningful, everyday skills and reducing behaviors that interfere with learning, independence, or daily functioning. ABA is commonly used to support children and adolescents with behavioral, developmental, and emotional regulation needs.

How do ABA services work at B & M Health Services?

ABA services begin with a comprehensive assessment to identify strengths, needs, and priorities. From there, an individualized treatment plan is developed with clear, measurable goals. Services are structured, data-driven, and continuously monitored to ensure progress. ABA services may be provided in clinical, home, school, or community settings, with active involvement from families and caregivers to support long-term success. ABA services are available through select insurance plans.

Can you coordinate care with other providers?

Yes. With your written authorization, we collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and other professionals to support coordinated and comprehensive care.
