Bio:

Andrea Velasquez is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in Florida, building on a strong educational foundation and hands-on experience in the field. Andrea earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science in Education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami. Her journey in mental health began as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where she worked with children with autism and gained valuable insight into developmental and behavioral challenges.

During Andrea’s practicum at a community health agency, she worked with a diverse range of clients—including children, adolescents, and adults—experiencing anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. Through collaboration with other mental health professionals, she expanded her knowledge of evidence-based practices, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches.

These experiences have strengthened Andrea’s clinical skills and deepened her commitment to providing compassionate, effective mental health care. She is dedicated to supporting clients on their journey toward healing and well-being through a personalized approach that respects each client’s unique needs.
